Channel Storm Live Channel Pro 2.0
What's new
So that's the short version of what this program does. So far, it's not much different from previous releases. But there are some significant differences in version 2.0.[an error occurred while processing this directive]The first thing you'll notice is the new interface. The old one brought all of the windows into a single, highly constrained interface that offered no flexibility whatsoever and took over your whole screen. The new version is much more flexible--and has to be, given the unlimited sources that you can use with this software. You can have unlimited windows, which are movable and resizable. There is one weakness to the interface though. As you users of Mac OS X are aware, switching between applications by clicking on document windows sometimes leaves part of the interface in the background. This is also the case with Live Channel Pro. I'd like it if, when activated, Live Channel could bring all of its windows forward automatically.

On the functionality side, Live Channel Pro 2.0 gains some dramatic improvements as well. Video can be output to any attached monitoring device, be it a second computer monitor or a studio monitor hooked through FireWire. From there, of course, output can also be recorded to tape. (Footage in Live Channel Pro is still handled at a maximum of 320 x 240, though output is scaled to match the full resolution of the monitoring device.)

You also get an unlimited number of sources, all of which can be used simultaneously (in real time, I'll remind you). You can have multiple live inputs (FireWire and/or USB), multiple titles (where version 1.x allowed for only a single title), multiple overlays, etc. You can also apply multiple transitions to multiple sources simultaneously and create multiple picture in picture effects simply by scaling your footage and using it as an overlay. Below you'll see an example of two video pictures over a main picture, along with a graphic overlay with alpha and transparency, plus an audio track (which you can't see), operating live and in real time.
